Short Description

This course aims to develop participants' knowledge, skills, and qualities: to plan, design and justify a research / an enquiry focussing on educational leadership, management, and associated issues; and to synthesise, evaluate and use various sources of evidence to inform professional practice.

Assessment

The summative assessment has two parts, as follows.

• A written enquiry / research proposal of 3000 words. This part will contribute to 75% of the whole course assessment.

•A presentation of the process and methods used to collect, evaluate, and synthesise different sources of evidence to inform the participant's decision making on an issue in their professional context. The presentation will be based on 1000 words equivalent and contribute to 25% of the whole course assessment.

The key aims of this course are:

1) To develop participants' competences (i.e., knowledge, skills, and qualities) to design and justify contemporary research or enquiry focussing on educational leadership, management, and associated issues.

2)To synthesise, evaluate and use various sources of evidence to inform professional practice.
