The Hunterian Museum will explore the fun side of science this Sunday with a range of family friendly events.

The activities, designed to engage children with science, include ‘CSI River City’ demonstrations on how to catch a criminal using chemistry, an explanation of the science of the circus, and a class on building your own lie detector.

Two lectures for adults will also be held at the Hunterian Museum. Professor of Physics at the University of Glasgow, Miles Padgett, will investigate Einstein’s theory of Quantum Mechanics by posing the question ‘Does God play with dice?’ and weather presenter Heather Reid will explore weather forecasting in the 21st century and give a behind the scenes look at the preparation of TV forecasts.

As part of the Glasgow Science Festival all the activities running from 10am until 4pm are free of charge. A full list of events can be found on the Glasgow Science Festival website: www.glasgowsciencefestival.org.uk. To book a space at the events call 0141 330 2806.
