UofG have been awarded 9 new fellowship awards following the results from the MSCA2025 call released in February 2026.  1650 outstanding postdoctoral researchers were selected for funding among 17,066 applicants.  This is the highest number of proposals submitted to any EU research and innovation framework programme in 40 years. The successful fellows will join supervisors in the School of Critical Studies (CoAH), the School of Engineering (CoSE), the School of Geographical & Earth Sciences (CoSE), the School of Physics & Astronomy (CoSE), the School of Biodiversity, One Health & Veterinary Medicine (MVLS) and the School of Psychology & Neuroscience (MVLS).

The objective of the scheme is to support researchers’ careers and foster excellence in research. The Postdoctoral Fellowships action targets researchers holding a PhD who wish to carry out their research activities abroad, acquire new skills and develop their careers. PFs help researchers gain experience in other countries, disciplines and non-academic sectors.
