Purpose: The Graduate Outcomes survey, which replaces the Destination of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE), is run by HESA to find out what recent graduates go on to do after they have graduated. This will help current and future students gain an insight into career destinations and development and the University to shape programmes for students who are following in their footsteps.
Population: All graduates
Timing: ~15 months after graduaton. There are 4 separate cohorts each year

Purpose: The National Student Survey (NSS), which is run by Ipsos MORI, is an opportunity for students to give feedback on what they liked about their experience at the University of Glasgow and what could be improved.
Population: Undergraduates in their final year
Timing: Mid-January until end of April
Purpose: The Postgraduate Taught Experience survey is a national survey, co-ordinated by Advance HE which allows postgraduate taught students to feedback on their experiences of teaching and learning. This is an opportunity for them to tell us what went well and what could have been improved. Knowing what they think allows us to address issues and keep doing what is valued.
Population: Postgraduate Taught students
Timing: Last week in March until mid-June

Purpose: The Student Life survey gives the university advance notice of issues students might report in the National Student Survey (NSS). It helps the university to react more quickly on feedback received from current students, rather than waiting until they are in their final year.
Population: All Undergraduates (excluding final year)
Timing: First week in April until end of May

Purpose: The Welcome survey collects early feedback from students on their initial University experience. There are questions regarding pre-application; application; arrival and first steps; induction and orientation; and first impressions.
Population: New Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught students
Timing: Mid-October until end of November

Purpose: The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) is a national survey, co-ordinated by Advance HE which allows Postgraduate Research students to feedback on supervision, resources, research community, progress & assessment and skills & professional development.
Population: Postgraduate Research students
Timing: Every 2 years, March - May
