Launched in the USA in 2012, Giving Tuesday falls directly after Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
During this period of intense consumerism, we ask our alumni to help the University with one simple charitable act on the day: a donation towards Travel Scholarships.
In 2014, the University of Glasgow was one of the first universities in the United Kingdom to run a campaign for Giving Tuesday. Over the years, we have built on that success and have now raised over £50,000 to support students at Glasgow who choose to undertake an international experience.
We hope to inspire our alumni in North America to support this year's campaign by providing the next generation of World Changers with once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.
