Space Glasgow, the University’s umbrella group for space research activities, is holding its first research conference on Tuesday 28 October.

Space Glasgow, the University’s umbrella group for space research activities, is holding its first research conference on Tuesday 28 October.

Space Glasgow’s members conduct research to enhance our understanding of space and to enable further exploration of our solar system.
The conference will bring together young researchers, senior staff, and industry stakeholders to discuss their work and opportunities for collaboration.

During the day, University of Glasgow PhD students and postdoctoral researchers will give short presentations on a wide range of exciting space-related topics. There will also be time for networking and discussion.

The day’s session topics will be:
• Planetary science
• Space technology
• Debris and small bodies
• Astrophysics

The event, which will take place in the Senate Room between 9am and 5pm, is free to attend. Coffee and lunch will be provided.
