Accommodation feedback wins prizes!

Neil Campbell, Director of Campus Services, presents two of our students with book tokens following the annual Residential Services survey of accommodation.

Campus Services competition winnersEach year, Residential Services conducts an online survey of in-house students to gain feedback on their stay in accommodation. The survey is a useful tool for monitoring a range of areas from, student interactions with pastoral and site staff, through to how effectively repair requests are dealt with.

Student feedback is vital for a service department like Residential Services so that they can ensure that what they offer matches the expectations of the student as well as highlighting areas for improvement.

Neil is with Jack Zuill, a first year geography undergraduate based in both Munich and Scotland and Laura Pederson, a Psychological Studies Masters student from Southern California.  A third student, Shiori Satoh from Tokyo, also won a token but couldn't make it to the presentation.

Senate Assessors

Senate appoints a number of its members to the University Court - the 'Senate Assessors'.  The Assessors play a key role in helping to inform the University Court of the views of the wider University community.

In order to help ensure the Assessors themselves are aware of issues concerning staff, the Assessors now hold regular surgeries in advance of each meeting of Court.   These will take place on the Monday of the week of Court and any member of University staff may make an appointment to speak to the Assessors.

The next surgery is scheduled for Monday, 14 April 2014 from 1.00 - 2.30pm, with each appointment slot being 20 minutes long.

The Senate Assessors available on this occasion will be Professor Miles Padgett and Dr Donald Spaeth.

If you would like to make an appointment, please contact: Helen Clegg, Senior Academic Policy Manager Senate Office, University of Glasgow Tel : 0141 330 2533   Fax : 0141 330 4021
