Father John Keenan led Morning Prayers for the last time last Thursday before leaving Turnbull Hall to be ordained Bishop of Paisley on March 19 in St Mirin's Cathedral, writes Joan Keenan.

Fr John Keenan The University Morning Prayers congregation bade Father John farewell at a short breakfast reception in the Memorial Chapel from 08:15 – 09:30 on Thursday 27th February.  Morning prayers took place as usual from 08:45 – 08:55.

Adam Wilson, the University Organ Scholar accompanied the congregation while they sang ‘O God our help in ages past’. Father John then gave his insightful reflection on the day’s reading from Genesis 32.3-30 and finished the short ten minute service by offering  a very moving prayer of thanksgiving for the many blessings he has received during  the 14 years he has served as  the Catholic Chaplain to the University of Glasgow.

Everyone is welcome to join us in person at Morning Prayers, Monday to Friday during Semester but if this is not possible please join us via the webcam:
