The latest cohort of students studying under the Brazilian government’s Science Without Borders initiative were welcomed to Glasgow at event in the City Chambers recently.

The latest cohort of students studying under the Brazilian government’s Science Without Borders initiative were welcomed to Glasgow at event in the City Chambers recently.  

More than 250 students from the universities of Glasgow, Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian were received by Glasgow City Council Bailie Philip Braat and Professor Pamela Gillies, Principal of Glasgow Caledonian University.  

Nae BordersThe students are studying for a sandwich year a range of science programmes from engineering to pharmacy and were delighted to get together in their new home for a drink and chat.  

The University of Glasgow has welcomed more than 70 students this year, building on the 50 students who came to Gilmorehill the previous year.  

Professor Rosa Greaves, International Dean for Latin America, said: “It’s great to see so many Brazilian students coming to Glasgow for their studies. I am sure they will all have a great time here and cherish their experience of Glasgow.”
