Sound Thought is the annual music composition, performance and research conference run by Glasgow University music department postgraduates.

The event provides a platform for postgraduate music students to present their work to an academic audience and an engaged public. The conference presents research and practice from a range of sound and music disciplines in an environment which contrasts, relates, and contextualises them and engages the public with music research from across the UK.

Sound Thought 2014 will be hosted by Glasgow's Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA) from 10 - 12 January. It will present engaging new musicological research alongside a programme of progressive composition, performance and sonic art practice.
