All University of Glasgow workers should now have received an e-mail or letter containing their own specific pension auto enrolment information.

If you were already a member of one of the University’s pension schemes there will have been no change for you as a result of pension auto enrolment.

If you have been auto enrolled in NEST you should also have received a joiner pack. If you have not received this, please telephone NEST on 0300 020 0090 or e-mail support@nestpensions.org.uk. The day you receive this pack is the start of your “one month” opt out period. Details of how to opt out are contained in the pack.

If you have been auto enrolled in USS and wish to opt out, you can obtain an opt-out form online at www.uss.co.uk or by telephoning USS on 0151 478 7140. Once you have completed the form, you should return it to the University Pay & Pensions Section of the Finance Office, Gilbert Scott Building, University Avenue, Glasgow G12 8QQ.

If you have been auto enrolled into either of the above schemes and you wish to remain a member, no further action is required.

Further information on auto enrolment can be found on our webpage at www.glasgow.ac.uk/pensionautoenrolment
