Indonesian Vice Rectors visit on leadership development programme

The School of Education was recently successful in a bid to the British Council to provide a leadership development programme for Vice Rectors from Indonesia.

The School of Education was recently successful in a bid to the British Council to provide a leadership development programme for Vice Rectors from Indonesia. 

The Vice-Rectors, who come from a range of locations and universities across Indonesia, are participating in the programme to develop their institutional capacity and capability through training in Leadership in International Higher Education. Indonesian Vice Rectors with Andrea Nolan

Professor Andrea Nolan, (Senior Vice-Principal & Deputy Vice-Chancellor) commented, “We are delighted to welcome the Indonesian Vice-Rectors and hope that the time that they spend here will not only assist them in the development of their own institutions, but will also be a catalyst for future collaboration with the University of Glasgow.” 

Professor Zulkifli Nasution, speaking on behalf of the Indonesian Vice-Rectors commented:  ‘We feel lucky that the British Council have placed us at University of Glasgow, which is providing a very well prepared course and materials which we need to support our careers in university leadership and development. The course has also has raised our awareness of university internationalization in the global era.’
