Listeners to BBC Radio 4 on Sunday (3 March) were able to enjoy the Sunday Worship programme as it was broadcast ‘live’ from the University’s Memorial Chapel led by the Chaplain, the Reverend Stuart D MacQuarrie.

The forty minute service can still be heard and is available on the BBC iPlayer Radio:  www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006qnds

The broadcast began with the Chapel choir singing a hymn set to a traditional Scottish folk melody, “A Touching Place”. Stuart told listeners the Memorial Chapel was a sacred place at the heart of the ancient University. The prayers and reflections were led by Professor Alison Phipps and continued recent programmes’ theme for Lent.  The Glasgow University Chapel Choir was directed by James Grossmith.  The recording is available on the BBC website until next Saturday.
