Information on managing stress in the workplace

The revised Policy for Managing Stress in the Workplace is now available at http://www.gla.ac.uk/services/health/policyformanagingstressintheworkplace/, along with accompanying guides for managers and employees, as well as supplementary guidance on Stress Risk Assessment.

Call for project proposals

Knowledge Exchange in collaboration with Sustainable Glasgow are offering funding of up to £20,000 for short projects which have the potential to contribute to the city's sustainable vision.  Full details are available at http://www.gla.ac.uk/services/rsio/knowledgeexchange/glasgowknowledgeexchangefund/sustainableglasgow/#d.en.282192

HR/Payroll Core portal due for change

The HR/Payroll System (CoreHR) will be unavailable from 8am on Friday 12th July until 9am on Wednesday 17th July to facilitate an upgrade.

The purpose of the upgrade is to provide a new and improved look and feel to CorePortal, enhance elements of back office functionality and introduce CoreExpense - the new online system for the submission of expense claims.

Demonstrations of the new system have taken place at Gilmorehill over the last couple of weeks and more are planned at Garscube, Dumfries and SUERC as detailed below:

  • Dumfries Campus             12pm, Wednesday 17th July, Room 232, Rutherford/McCowan Building
  • Dumfries Campus             1pm, Wednesday 17th July, Room 232, Rutherford/McCowan Building
  • Garscube Campus            12.30pm, Thursday 18th July, McCall Lecture Theatre
  • SUERC                             12.30pm, Friday 19th July, SUERC Lecture Theatre.
