The Confucius Institute and Students' Representative Council at the University of Glasgow cordially invite you to attend their 2013 Chinese New Year Celebrations!

Celebrations on Friday 8th February will be an exciting evening with Chinese dragon dance, Scottish bag pipe, art, entertainment, prize draws plus dumplings and dim sum. A fun night out for family and friends!

5.45pm          Dragon dance inside of the Main Gate (if dry), or Cloisters (if wet)

6.05pm          Opening of the evening

6.10pm          Speeches by key guest speakers

6.25pm          Performance by pupils from St Ninian’s High School

6.40pm          Prize draw

6.45pm          Performance by Hillhead High School Ceilidh Band

7.05pm          Prize draw

7.10pm          Reception with dumplings and dim sum plus cultural activities until 9pm

Please gather inside of the Main Gate (if dry) or the Cloisters (if wet) at 5.45pm for the dragon dance, after which our bag piper pipes you to One A The Square, where other celebrations will take place.
