Running out of steam

Estates and Buildings are letting staff know that because of the need for essential maintenance before the winter, the main steam boilers and associated plant will be shutdown from Friday 2 August at 3.00pm until Monday 19 August at 8.00am.  This is to allow annual essential maintenance and statutory insurance inspection to be carried out.  During these works heating and hot water will not be available in the following buildings:-

  • Davidson Building
  • Wolfson Building
  • West Medical Building
  • Joseph Black Building
  • Kelvin Building
  • Graham Kerr Building
  • Gilbert Scott Building (part - including Bute and Randolph Halls)

No other buildings will be affected by this shutdown and Estates and Buildings have apologised for any inconvenience caused.  If you have any queries please contact Alex MacGregor on extension 4411.

IT Services - brief interruption to network services, Tuesday 6 August - 0800 to 09.30

All network services will be unavailable for a short period (approx 10 mins) on Tuesday 6th Aug 2013 between 08:00 - 09:30 in the following buildings:

West Medical, Wolfson-CRI, Davidson, Kelvin, Pontecorvo, Virology, Anderson College ( inc GIC ), Thurso Stret, Robertson, Western Infirmary, Maggie Centre ( phones only ),        Dumbarton Road, Joseph Black, Graham Kerr, Bower, Estates and Buildings, Boilerhouse

Please note that all network services should be considered 'at risk' for the entire period.
