Professor Joesph Murphy will be joining the University of Glasgow as Professor of Environmental Studies in the School of Interdisciplinary Studies on 1 October.

He comes to Glasgow from the Sustainability Research Institute at the University of Leeds where he was a Senior Lecturer and RCUK Academic Fellow.

Professor Murphy works on environmental problems and sustainable development and believes that scholarship which informs public debate has a vital role to play.
