A new postgraduate study area in the Library's level 5 annexe is being developed over the summer.  Work starts on the project this month and the annexe will be closed from 21st May.

The new facility will have lots of spaces for silent study with full wi-fi coverage for laptops or mobile devices.

All the stock currently in the level 5 annexe will still be available while the project is ongoing - full details below:

  • Books for astronomy, computing and engineering will be moved onto the main floor of L5 and will be available from 28th May.
  • Books for physics and psychology will be moved to level 3 over the summer and will be moved back to level 5 later in the year
  • Print journals for life sciences, mathematics and psychology will be relocated to our Library Research Annexe.  You can visit the LRA and consult materials there, or you can request items and they will be delivered to the main university library for you.  For more information on the LRA, see our webpages: http://www.gla.ac.uk/services/library/aboutthelibrary/departmentsandcollections/libraryresearchannexe/

Please remember that many of our print journals are also available electronically - visit www.lib.gla.ac.uk to search for resources, or ask at the Welcome Desk.

The new postgraduate study area will open during the first semester of the next academic session. We will keep you updated on progress throughout the year.
