A key part of the Principal’s Podcast in the last Campus E-news was an insistence on the importance of training for important groups in the use  of MyCampus. A calendar of training sessions is now available to view on the Student Lifecycle Support and Development Team website: http://www.gla.ac.uk/services/studentlifecycle/mycampustraining/.  The main training focus at the moment is on preparation for registration and enrolment, and staff who will be involved in advising, as well as those in support roles, should make sure that they attend any sessions that have been arranged.

In discussion with Specialist User Groups, several enhancements have been made to the Registration and Enrolment functionality in MyCampus for 2012/13. These enhancements will be covered in the training sessions and in general demos for the wider community which will be publicised through e-news.

Every year, Schools are required to keep to the deadlines set by Registry for the publication of exam results to ensure that the results for final year students {including Honours Options} can be processed in time for graduations and that continuing students can be progressed to their next year of study. With the use of the new student system for Student Progression and Graduation Enrolment this year, it is particularly important that exam marks are returned on time.  The SLP Project Board has asked that all staff involved in the marking of exams and processing of results ensure that the deadlines are met.  Further information is available at: http://www.gla.ac.uk/services/registry/staff/examinations/examdatesdeadlines/#d.en.129430

A concern that has been expressed was whether staff PCs are adequate for use of MyCampus. This has been checked and standard staff desktops should all be compatible, but for more information about this, please check the website http://www.gla.ac.uk/services/studentlifecycle/hardwarespecification/

Finally, please note that from 2pm on Friday 18th May until 8am on Monday 21st May 2012 MyCampus will be undergoing a required technical upgrade.  During this period the live system will be unavailable. You will still be able to access a "view only" copy of MyCampus via 'MyGlasgow for staff' and 'Business systems'.  A separate communication with further information on the upgrade will be issued to all MyCampus users.
