PhD students win parasitology prize

Two University of Glasgow PHD students have won prizes from the British Society of Parasitology

Two University of Glasgow PHD students have won prizes from the British Society of Parasitology.

Jamie Hall and Nathaniel Jones of the Wellcome Trust Centre for molecular parasitology both received poster prizes.

 Two out of three of the available student talk prizes were awarded to the students with Nathaniel Jones receiving the CUP prize while Jamie Hall won the Parasites and Vectors prize.

This year was the 50th anniversary Spring meeting of the society and was held at the University of Strathclyde.

The British Society of Parasitology was founded to promote the importance of Parasitology being of distinct importance within the discipline of Biology. With 1500 members the Society welcome both professional and amateur parasitologists.
