Farewell to Dr Kevin Cullen

Congratulations to Dr Kevin Cullen, who has accepted the role of CEO at the University of New South Wales' innovation/commercialisation company, based in Sydney.

Congratulations to Dr Kevin Cullen, Director of Research and Enterprise, who has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of NewSouth Innovations Pty Limited. Dr Cullen will take up his appointment on 1 August 2011.

Welcoming Kevin’s appointment, Professor Les Field, Chairman of NewSouth Innovations (NSi), said:

 ”We are absolutely delighted that Dr Cullen will join us to lead the team at NSi. He brings a wealth of experience from his time at Glasgow, which is regarded as a leader in technology transfer - particularly with the innovative ways it has introduced to transfer University-derived IP into the market place.”

Dr Kevin Cullen was appointed Director of Research and Enterprise (R&E) at Glasgow in October 2003, and he has been responsible for directing activities to achieve the research and enterprise objectives of the University. Kevin also led the University's involvement in many areas of Economic Development, particularly with Scottish Enterprise and through the European Structural Funds.
