Server certificates
Information Services generate short-lived (90-day) server certificates, which are made available via a download link.
The certificate on the end of the link is renewed automatically, such that a simple 'cronjob' or scheduled task can be configured to check for updates and install a new cert on the server when necessary.
We can supply template scripts for common platforms, which you can adapt for your server.
Request a certificate
1. Generate a Certificate Signing Request file (CSR). This can have as many names or aliases as you like in the Subject Alternative Name (SAN) field.
2. Email your request to scs@gla.ac.uk.
Note: There is no charge for these certificates.
