Roles 

  • The Associate Lead (Research) will support the development of a vibrant and innovative research environment in which creativity, collaboration and interdisciplinary working generate real-world solutions for a fairer, healthier future. 
  • The Associate Lead (Strategic Partnerships & Impact) will help develop existing and new collaborations and partnerships, work to enhance visibility, reach and impact of HEF and GCF more widely. 
  • The Associate Lead (Engagement) will provide strategic leadership for developing a vibrant and engaging programme of healthy and equitable futures-focused visioning, activities and events (e.g. exhibitions, webinars, podcasts, competitions, immersive experiences) with civic and global reach.   

Candidate profile 

GCF is looking for candidates who are passionate about contributing to a healthier and more equitable future for all. You should be able to demonstrate strategic vision and relevant expertise for the role you are applying for and have strong communication, networking, influencing and collaborative skills, with the ability to bring others with you. Evidence of relevant leadership experience (e.g. School, College or University-level roles, leadership of interdisciplinary initiatives or partnerships, or equivalent external roles) is expected. 

Responsibilities and opportunities 

Working alongside the HEF Academic Lead, Professor Petra Meier, postholders in these senior roles will demonstrate strategic and collaborative leadership across the University and beyond. Working individually and as a team, they will help shape and deliver a dynamic programme of activity across mutually reinforcing elements of the H&EF portfolio.

Expand your academic leadership portfolio through supporting the delivery of the new university strategies. 

Play a leading role in realising a major strategic initiative designed to contribute to and shape the future direction of research, teaching, and engagement for a fairer, healthier future.  

Collaborate closely with colleagues across the four Colleges, University Services, and external partners.
