We are proud to celebrate two inspiring graduates whose journeys to UofG began after seeking safety in Scotland - Dr Hosay Zazai and Dr Pinar Aksu
We are proud to celebrate two inspiring graduates whose journeys to UofG began after seeking safety in Scotland.
Hosay Zazai, from Afghanistan, graduated in Community Development. Dr Pinar Aksu, from Turkey, graduated with a PhD in Education and Law. Dr Aksu also holds a degree in Community Development, and a Master’s in Human Rights and International Politics from UofG. Both students have campaigned for many years for social justice and the rights of refugees to have access to higher education.
As a University of Sanctuary, we are proud to support students seeking sanctuary and to help ensure that higher education is open to those with the ambition and determination to pursue it. Congratulations to Hosay and Pinar on their graduation, and on everything they have achieved!
