The University of Glasgow’s Centre for Public Policy invites you to join us to explore Scotland’s progress towards public service reform on Monday 26 October 2026.
There's too much month left at the end of money, is a sentiment long felt by families across the country. Now it's one faced by Governments across the UK as they grapple with rising levels of debt alongside rising demand for key public services. Meanwhile inequality remains stubbornly high and levels of deep poverty are worsening. How do you tackle the cost of living crisis with so little money to spend?
Join us for a discussion with:
- Professor Angela O'Hagan, Chair of the Scottish Human Rights Commission
- Dr Claire MacRae, Senior Lecturer in Public Policy at the Centre for Public Policy
- Alex Massie, and journalist and broadcaster
The panel is chaired Professor Kezia Dugdale, Associate Director of the Centre for Public Policy.
This event is part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science.
