CR Conference in Competition Law – “Competition Law as a Guiding Discipline for the Digital Economy”
After Munich, Vienna and Florence, the 4th Young Competition Scholars Conference (ECR Conference in Competition Law) is coming to Glasgow on 12-13 November 2026. Titled “Competition Law as a Guiding Discipline for the Digital Economy”, this conference aims to critically evaluate various roles of competition law in fostering digital space for wider societal benefit. The conference is open to students, early career researchers, academics and practitioners interested in (digital) competition law.

The conference will feature an opening keynote by Professor Viktoria Robertson (WU Vienna, The Competition Law Hub) regarding competition law and democracy, a practitioner panel on Competition Law and AI, and presentations by up-and-coming scholars exploring how competition law could guide other (legal) disciplines in addressing the challenges of the digital economy. The event will be preceded by a CREATe Public Lecture by Professor Spencer Weber Waller (Loyola University Chicago), held in the evening of 11 November 2026.
The conference is open to all interested parties. We especially welcome students, doctoral researchers and early career scholars working on competition law research.
Attendance is free, but registration is required. Places are limited, so we encourage participants to register at their earliest convenience, but no later than November 1.
