The University of Glasgow’s main building, known as the Gilbert Scott Building, was one of the biggest construction projects of its date in Scotland. As many as 1100 labourers, masons, joiners and other tradespeople worked on it between 1867 and 1871.

Join Hunterian Curator of Mackintosh and Applied Art, Joseph Sharples in this talk as he delves into the fascinating story of the building workers, and explore this iconic West End building in a new and revealing light!
