Our event comes at a time when the survival of indigenous communities is becoming more precarious every day across the world. The main reason argued is globalisation, which, generally, brings violation of their rights and vanishing of their worldviews, culture and habits. On top of that, there are strong social, technological and industrial pressures on constantly arriving in their territories.
The combined efforts of civil society, government authorities and the indigenous communities themselves have served to develop strategies to make them visible and highlight their existence within the territory.
