Kim Carnie

Songwriter and musician Kim Carnie was named Gaelic Singer of the Year in 2021 and released her star-studded debut album in summer 2022. You might have seen her leading the BBC Hogmanay celebrations on New Years Eve with her supergroup Mánran. Raised in Oban with strong links to Perthshire’s Glen Lyon, Kim is one of the most exciting Scottish song masters of her generation, and we cannot wait to welcome her to Music in the University, to launch our 2023 events.

For this concert, Kim presents the following lineup:

Kim Carnie (vocals)
Megan Henderson (fiddle and vocals)
Innes White (guitar and vocals)
John Lowrie (piano)
James Lindsay (double bass)
