Exciting science is increasingly making the headlines, but in an era of ‘fake news’ it can sometimes be difficult to know what is really behind the news story. Have You Heard? Is an award-winning project aimed at clearing the haze that can surround science in the media.
In this workshop we will explore science headlines and their significance, recount the journey of a research project from brainstorm to media storm from an experienced scientist, and introduce our innovative infographic that breaks down how to interpret a science story in the news.
Recommended age: 14 and above.
