Jane Goldman, poet and academic, lives in Edinburgh and is Reader in Avant-Garde Poetics and Creative Writing at the University of Glasgow. She is a member of the 12 collective of women poets (along with Tessa Berring, Anne Laure Coxam, Lynn Davidson, Georgi Gill, Marjorie Lotfi, Lila Matsumoto, Saskia McCracken, Rachel McCrum, Jane McKie, Theresa Muñoz, Em Strang, Alice Tarbuck, Karen Veitch and J.L. Williams). Her poems have appeared in the magazines Scree, Textualities, New Writing Dundee, InterLitQ, Tender: A Quarterly Journal Made By Women, DURA: Dundee University Review of the Arts, Gutter, Blackbox Manifold, Raum, Stand, Spam, Adjacent Pineapple, and Sch… The Journal of the Kurt Schwitters Society; and in the weird folds: everyday poems from the anthropocene, edited by Maria Sledmere and Rhian Williams (Dostoyevsky Wannabe, 2020), The Hunterian Museum Poems: a History of the World in Objects and Poems From the Collection of The Hunterian at the University of Glasgow, ed. Alan Riach (Glasgow: Freight Books, 2015), Seen/ Unseen: A Collection of Ekphrastic Responses to Hidden Gems (Edinburgh: Museums and Galleries, 2017), The Caught Habits of Language: An Entertainment for W.S. Graham for Him Having Reached One Hundred, edited by Rachel Boast, Andy Ching, and Nathan Hamilton (Bristol: Donut Press, 2018), and Tributes to Tom Leonard (Edinburgh: PlaySpace Publications, 2019). Her pamphlet Border Thoughts (Sufficient Place / Leamington Books, 2014) is ‘a little theatrical box of spectacle and light […] the living underworld of Brecht’s Threepenny Opera translated into raucous girlish post-war wayward ways’ (Lisa Jeschke, Hix Eros 6). SEKXPHRASTIKS (Dostoevsky Wannabe, 2021) is her first full length poetry collection. She is also a General Editor of the Cambridge Edition of the Works of Virginia Woolf and publishes widely on Woolf, modernism and the avant-garde.

Creative Conversations is funded by the Ferguson Bequest. Professor Thomas Ferguson (1900-1977), Henry Mechan Chair of Public Health (1944-64), bequeathed his estate to the University, with the instruction that the money should be used to foster the social side of University life.
