Join a panel of speakers for a discussion of Black sporting histories and of the significance of sporting practices in the struggle against racism.
Co-hosted by the subject area of Sociology, University of Glasgow, and the Coalition for Racial Equality and Rights (CRER), and featuring contributions from sports' historian Andy Mitchell, on the history of Black footballers in Scotland; from Dr. Anima Adjepong (University of Cincinnati), on the role of women in the Black sporting diaspora; from representatives of United Glasgow, on grassroots football and inclusion; and from Dr Nicola Hay (University of the West of Scotland) on sport and anti-racism in Scotland.
