Pheona and Michael Matovu from Radiant and Brighter will be giving two talks for the University of Glasgow Black History Month on Tuesday 5 October, 2021. They founded this initiative to provide support for migrant communities with the aim to bridge the gap between the needs of the growing BME refugee and migrant communities and existing support provision in Scotland. Each session will include a 30-minute talk on the topic after which participants will engage in a brief exercise and a question-and-answer session.

This talk will give participants a better understanding of how to apply and embed anti-racism practice as a core value within the workplace in order to attract and sustaining diversity. It will also explore discrimination and racism, inclusive practice, inappropriate and appropriate language, equality and equal opportunities and addressing discrimination in the Scotland and workplace.

Funded by the Chancellors Fund (University of Glasgow), Every mind matters: enhancing health, disability and race, K Allison, L Bach L Abbott.
