Nina Tavakkoli is a lawyer with a specialisation in International and European Union law. She has decade-long experience working for the German Federal Government in the field of International and European Union environmental law and policy.
Her professional experience includes negotiating political positions and legal texts on both levels, as well as the national transposition and enforcement of treaty obligations.
Nina is an alumnus of the University of Glasgow, graduating with an LL.M International Law in 2006 and she is also one of our World Changing Alumni Award nominees. We look forward to chatting with Nina to learn more about her work in developing and implementing acts and guidelines to the EU Single-Use Plastics Directive and how she negotiated the first carbon dioxide monitoring system for the shipping sector. We will chat with Nina about her career and explore topics such as resilience, and confidence.
