This session introduces the hackathon format as a vehicle for active learning. Professor Lisa DeBruine (Psychology) and Dr Hannah-Louise Clark (Economic and Social History) will present case studies that show the versatility of this format and how it can be used to support skills-building, promote inclusion, and kickstart student projects. They will share tips and resources for how to teach with hackathons (including what to avoid) in person and online.

This session is open to staff of the University of Glasgow. For the avoidance of doubt as to eligibility, it would be helpful if you could please register using your staff email address.
