Songs For Our Children - a fundraising concert in support of St Andrew's Clinics for Children
The St Andrew’s Clinics for Children (STACC) is a charity which was developed by staff at the University of Glasgow over 25 years ago and since then has provided free healthcare to over 1.5 million children in Africa. This year our main fund-raising event in Scotland will be a concert to be held in the Chapel of the University of Glasgow on Friday 25th October at 7pm.
Date: Friday 25 October 2019
Time: 19:00 - 21:00
Venue: University Chapel
Category: Concerts and music
Adèle Paxton (vocalist) and Dennis “Mackie” McCorkle (guitarist) have teamed up as ‘Mackie and Me,’ to present their own unique sound and will give a concert in aid of St Andrew's Clinics for Children (STACC), 7-9pm on 25th October 2019, in the University of Glasgow Chapel.
The concert will focus on settings of Walter de la Mare and Robert Louis Stevenson poems that were written for children or for the child in all of us. The evening will also include some light classics and some jazz - nothing heavy!
This event is a fundraiser - there will be a short presentation about the work of STACC and a raffle during the interval. Wine and nibbles will be served.
