Date: Wednesday 14 October 2026
Time: 17:15 - 18:00
Venue: Kelvin Hall
Category: Hunterian,

Go behind-the-scenes in our curator led Twilight Tours at Kelvin Hall, to explore objects and artworks from The Hunterian collection.

Join Dr Ayodele Ige, an historian of medicine and a recent PhD graduate in History from the University of Glasgow, for an inspiring Black History Month event exploring the rich world of Yorùbá healing traditions through rare objects from The Hunterian collections.

Learn how healing objects can tell powerful stories about knowledge, spirituality, identity and community. Explore Yorùbá approaches to health and wellbeing, and discover how these traditions continue to challenge colonial-era misunderstandings of African medicine.
