Marc AlexanderDr Marc Alexander, a recent graduate and early career researcher who has just joined the University as a Lecturer in English Language, has been awarded the prestigious Paul Fortier prize in Digital Humanities by the international Alliance of Digital Humanities Organisations (ADHO).

The prize is named in honour of the late Professor Paul Fortier (1939-2005), who was a long-serving member and Committee member of the Association for Literary and Linguistic Computing (ALLC) and of the Society for Digital Humanities / Société pour l'étude des médias interactifs (SDH/SEMI). He was the 2004 recipient of SDH/SEMI's Award for Outstanding Achievement, Computing in the Arts and Humanities.

The Fortier Student Prize is awarded to one of the ADHO Bursary winners at the annual Digital Humanities conference. It is awarded to the Bursary winner whose conference submission is judged by the Bursary Award Panel to be the most outstanding.
