The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is well recognised as a centre of excellence for research in the fields of 3D imaging, bone morphogenetic proteins (BMP), trauma and orthognathic surgery. These special interests in the surgical specialties are linked with the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical service in the city and regional hospitals in the West of Scotland.
