Geomatics & Management MSc

The MSc degree programme is available for September or January entry.

* The University of Glasgow will apply a £1,000 discount to the international fees for this 12-month full-time postgraduate taught Masters programme for entry in either January 2012, September 2012, or January 2013.

This innovative Masters in Geomatics & Management is aimed at graduates in geomatics (surveying and mapping). It will enhance your career progression in the field of geomatics, and provide you with the necessary skill set to succeed in managerial positions.

  • If you have a geomatics background, but with little management experience and you are looking to broaden your knowledge of management while also furthering your knowledge of geomatics, this programme is designed for you.
  • The combination of geomatics with management offered by this programme has been strongly endorsed by industry.
  • You will be taught jointly by the School of Geographical & Earth Sciences and the Business School at the University. The programme uses the combined resources and complementary expertise of their staff, plus input from industry experts, to offer you a curriculum which is relevant to the needs of industry.
  • You will have benefit from access to the latest surveying equipment, including GPS and Terrestrial Laser Scanning, and industry standard processing software, GIS and graphic packages as part of this programme.

Honours degree or equivalent in geomatics or similar subject.

Those with lower qualifications having significant experience in industry will be considered on an individual basis.

Pre-Masters course for international students
There is a preparation course for international students who don't meet the entry requirements. Completion of this Pre-Masters course to the required level guarantees your entry to this programme.
