Join Sport & Recreation
As a student, staff or alumni of the University of Glasgow you are entitled to full access membership of Sport & Recreation. We also have a variety of additional membership packages for our external community which includes your partners, family and friends.
Your Category of Membership determines which facilities you are entitled to use and also any restrictions that you have to comply with. Each Membership Category has certain eligibility criteria and conditions, details of which are available from a Sport & Recreation representative. Categories of Membership are non-transferrable.
Please note due to over capacity, from 27 January we will no longer accept the sign in of guests of members on weekends. This includes for booking (ie both individuals for a squash booking must be members, no guests are permitted)

To become a member please bring your student ID card to our reception desk at either the Stevenson Building or Garscube Sports Complex.
Notes:
- You are required to provide appropriate identification of membership in order to gain access to facilities
- Membership is not transferable and a penalty system exists for misuse of membership cards
- Normal membership year runs from 1 October - 30 September
- Student membership is non-refundable if student status ceases or you no longer choose to utilise an active membership.
- *Pro rata rates apply - cancellation of membership requires a minimum of one month's written notice for payments by Direct Debit
- There is no charge for children under 16 but access is limited to weekend (Friday after 1700) and vacation times only. Children must be supervised (no access to strength and CV areas, sauna or steam room or group exercise programme) - please note an adult may only sign in up to 2 children as their guests.

All University of Glasgow staff eligible to receive a Learning Works allowance may use it to fund the cost of staff membership to Sport & Recreation for 1 year. For more information on how to claim your Learning Works allowance please go to the Learning Works website. |
To become a member please come along to our reception desk at either the Stevenson Building or Garscube Sports Complex where the reception staff will be happy to process your membership for you (Proof of staff status is required when joining for Affiliate and Honory staff on department letterhead from the College or School).

- Cancellation of membership requires a minimum of one month's written notice. Associate, honorary and retired staff must pay by Direct Debit or in full.
- There is no charge for children under 16 but access is limited to weekends and vacations. Children must be supervised (no access to strength and CV areas, sauna or steam room or group exercise programme) - please note an adult may only sign in up to 2 children as their guests
- Learning works will only fund a single year of membership with Sport and Recreation, afterwards the staff member must enrol in a regular staff membership to continue membership.
