The Université Toulouse – Jean Jaurès (University Toulouse Jean Jaurès) is one of three universities in Toulouse, specialising in the humanities. It has a student population of 27,000 students. The campus was part of a greater architectural project for Toulouse in the 1960’s.

Toulouse lies on the river Garonne in the south-west of France. It has a population of 460,000 with a metropolitan population of 1,250,000. Toulouse has a long university tradition with the earliest institution dating back to 1229. Due to the ochre rooftops and brick churches, Toulouse has earned itself the nickname ‘La Ville Rose’. It is shaped by its high student popularity and a thriving music scene but also shows more traditional sides in food markets or salons de thé.
