The biggest stars from the music and entertainment world are attending BBC Radio One's Academy, being held at the QMU this week

The biggest stars from the music and entertainment world including Emeli Sandé, Biffy Clyro, Sir Richard Branson, Rita Ora and Kevin Bridges plus many more will be at Radio 1’s Academy being held at the Queen Margaret Union at the University of Glasgow from Saturday 10th May – Friday 16th May.

The 72 events form a week of social action and face-to-face activity aimed at 16-19 year olds across Glasgow and beyond. The Academy will offer over 7,000 free spaces for young people to attend a programme of practical workshops, Q&A sessions, industry master classes and live music gigs and will open its doors in the lead up to the station’s flagship live music event, Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2014.

The University will host well known faces throughout the week, including:
