A vacancy has arisen for an employee representative on court, the University’s governing body.

Membership of Court includes two Employee Representatives, the most recent representatives being Ms Margaret Anne McParland, Principal Library Assistant and Mr Dave Anderson, IT Specialist.

Ms Margaret Anne McParland's term of office as Employee Representative on Court ends on 31 July 2014.  The Joint Union Liaison Committee has re-nominated Ms McParland to serve as Employee Representative on Court for 4 years.

In accordance with established procedures, the nomination of other candidates is now invited.

Please note that for the current vacancy, candidates must be from the following staff job families ONLY:

  • Technical and Related;
  • Operational;
  • Management, Professional and Administrative up to and including Grade 6 only.

Candidates may NOT be members of Teaching or Research staff, or Management, Professional and Administrative staff graded 7 or above.

Nominations of eligible candidates should be supported by at least 25 members of the electorate (all full-time and part-time employees on the regular monthly payroll of the University at 1 October 2013 and are still on the payroll) and be accompanied by the candidate's signed acceptance of the nomination.

The deadline for nominations is 5pm on Friday 30 May 2014.

An election will be held if there is more than one eligible candidate.
