NHS Network

From 26 October 2008 the way in which users of the University's telephone system dial via the direct link into the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) network has changed.  The main changes affecting University users are:

• each NHSGGC site will have a 5-digit Site Location Code (SLC)
• help or assistance at NHSGGC sites will be available via a common number (1000) 
• the access code for the NHS link will change from 727 to 780.

The undernoted table illustrates the changes in the dialled number format:

Site Location Codes (SLCs) for:     

• main NHSGGC sites (table 1)                                 
• all NHSGGC sites (table 2)

University staff who work at NHSGGC sites (or other sites on the NHS Scotland network) will be able to call directly to any University extension by using the code '70020' followed by the required 4-digit extension number.  For help or assistance, dial '70020' followed by '100' for the University switchboard.
