Research Associate vacancy in Mathematics

The University of Glasgow invites applications for a position of Research Assistant or Research Associate in the School of Mathematics and Statistics. You will be working with Prof. Michael Wemyss on EPSRC funded project “The Homological Minimal Model Programme (extension)”. You should have a Ph.D. in Mathematics, and expertise in one or several of the following research areas of Pure Mathematics: Algebraic Geometry, Homological Algebra, Commutative Algebra, Deformation Theory, Representation Theory, Noncommutative Resolutions or Finite Dimensional Algebras. You should also have a track record of publications in internationally recognised journals in one or several of the above areas.

You will join an active, diverse, and rapidly growing Pure Mathematics Group. You will have access to excellent computing facilities, and to a generous allowance for travel and personal technical equipment. This is primarily a research position, but you will receive support of career development by being given the opportunity to give lecture courses, to supervise undergraduate projects, and to get involved in outreach activities.
