School Launches Professional Services Peer Recognition Award

Published: 8 February 2024

The award is designed to celebrate and recognise the success of Professional Services staff through peer nominations

The SoE PS Senior Leadership Team are delighted to announce the formal launch of our new SoE Professional Services Peer Recognition Award.

What is it?

The award is designed to celebrate and recognise the success of Professional Services staff within the School of Education through peer nominations that aligns to the University of Glasgow values:

  • Ambition and Excellence
  • Curiosity and Discovery
  • Integrity and Truth
  • An Inclusive Community

The Professional Services Community within the School of Education embody these values, however much of the excellent work remains hidden, or only known to a few.  Through peer nominations it is hoped to unearth this work and for this to be recognised across the School community.  This process will allow for regular recognition of PS staff contributions to the School and wider community.

What’s the process for submitting a nomination?

Nominations made via an online form will remain open all year, with awards being presented at regular intervals via the Professional Services School Council.  Nominations received up to three working days prior to the next PS School Council will be reviewed by the PS School Leadership Team for inclusion and award. Our first awards will be presented at our PS School Council on 22nd February 2024.
