The School of Education embraced the spirit of Scottish culture with a ‘Wee Burns Night Celebration’, organised by the Student Experience Team.

The School of Education embraced the spirit of Scottish culture on Thursday, January 25th, with the Student Experience Team hosting a ‘Wee Burns Night Celebration’ event at the St. Andrews Building.

The Common Room was decked out with festive decorations as students enjoyed a spread of food and drinks. The event kicked off with an introductory session of Robert Burns trivia, as well as poetry readings by Student Experience Coordinator Stuart Rennie. The festivities culminated with a screening of the animated movie Brave.

The event, made possible by the efforts of Stuart Rennie, Olwyn Wardman, and Maria Cid Castilla, brought together students and staff in a celebration of Scotland's literary and cultural heritage. Many thanks again to the team and we eagerly anticipate more engaging events in the future!

Check out our album for a snippet of the event (and poetry reading!) here.
