18 AugMany congratulations to Lavania Hirsu who has won a project, entitled, Challenging the Translingual Turn: Student-Teachers' Perceptions, Practices and Networks from the British Council. This project explores the potential and limitations of the translingual turn for TESOL student-teachers who move from their MA studies into the workplace.
18 AugWe are pleased to report that Professors Michele Schweisfurth and Chris Chapman are part of an interdisciplinary team awarded c £700K from ESRC-DFID to research participation and accountability processes among disadvantaged parents on school management committees in Karnataka, India.
14 AugOur Artist in Residence with RM Borders and UNESCO Naa Densua Tordzro, together with SOE staff member and PHD candidate Gameli Tordzro performed live at Edinburgh International Festival, filmed by BBC Arts, broadcast on TV and with British Council films –a music video and a documentary now also available alongside the single. The project was part of Spirit of 47 and a further outworking of our AHRC and UNESCO work.
