School of Education

The School is pleased to announce a strong showing in the most recent round of academic promotions, with 16 colleagues recieving well-deserved promotions.

As a result, the School will now have 4 new Professors, 10 additional Senior Lecturers, and 2 new Lecturers, with 7 being promoted within Learning, Teaching and Scholarship and 9 on Research and Teaching.

Head of School Kristinn Hermannsson said:

"Producing a promotion application that is deemed submittable is an achievement in its own right. It requires a substantial track record to begin with, and distilling that into a rigorously reasoned case for promotion is a formidable intellectual challenge.
